Return, Refund and Cancellation Policy

Please note we have a strict return policy because many of the items being sold can be used and returned.  We will not sell any used products nor accept returns on any potentially used products due to the risk of cross contamination from one customer to another.  Please keep in mind the policies listed below is to protect our customers and provide them with only the newest untouched products from the finest manufacturers.
 

We insist that you contact us in advance for a return authorization citing why you wish to return the merchandise.

Some (see next paragraph)  unused , unopened product may be returned for a refund or exchange, as long as you have requested and received a return authorization within 7 days of receiving. Please contact us at returns@BellyButtonsRing.com

We cannot accept returns on any nail polish, acrylics, UV gels,  treatments, top coats, base coats and lacquers due to health issues.

Any item returned to us without a return authorization will be subject to a 25% restocking charge.

Any item that is returned to us with a proper return authorization will be assessed a $7.50 processing fee.  We are sorry for this cost however  in order to recover exorbitant Visa / MasterCard / Amex / Discover fees this charge is necessary.

EXCHANGES: We will be happy to authorize a return for an exchange on any product as long as it can be restocked and resold as new This does not apply to already used products  Please note: The customer is responsible for all shipping charges including the cost to ship an exchange.

SHIPPING ERRORS : If we make an error and send you something that you did not order, you of course may return the item. We will rectify the error in a timely manner and reimburse you for any shipping expense you might have incurred. Please call or email us to discuss the details prior to returning any item.

SHIPPING METHODS : BellyButtonsRing.com has the right to substitute UPS for US Priority Mail without prior authorization, this is due to the inconsistent performance of US Priority Mail and the amount of packages that are lost by the US Mail System.  We do this for a few reasons, UPS is much more reliable and has detailed tracking.  US Priority mail going long distances tends to be slower then UPS.  UPS is insurable and we can easily file a claim with UPS in order to reship your product quickly.  US Mail's insurance system includes mountains of paperwork and requires the claimant to wait 30 days before a claim can be filed. 

CANCELLED ORDERS :Any order cancelled by the customer prior to processing will be deleted from our system without any charge. Should an order be cancelled by the customer after it has been processed and shipped, the customer will be responsible for returning the parcel at his expense or refusing delivery. Upon receipt back to our warehouse, the merchandise cost on the refused or returned parcel will be refunded to the customer's credit card less the original shipping cost.

REFUSED ORDERS / DID NOT PICKUP ORDER FROM UPS HUB:  Any package refused for delivery or any package that was requested by the customer to be held at a UPS delivery hub and then returned to BellyButtonsRing will incur a 25% restocking fee plus if shipping was free the outbound and return shipping fees will also be assessed.

FREE SHIPPING ITEMS WHICH ARE RETURNED :If an item which was ordered under our "Free Shipping"  special is returned for a refund, the original shipping charge we incurred will be deducted from the amount refunded to your credit card.

All returned items must be sent at the customer's expense. Shipping costs on returns as well as the original shipment are never refundable . If we have authorized a return, please ship the item back to us within 10 days of having received the authorization. Please enclose a copy of the original invoice or email confirmation if possible. Give us a short description of the situation on the invoice and be sure that a daytime phone number is included so we can contact you if necessary. Delivery Policy

BellyButtonsRing.com provides multiple shipping methods to allow you, our customer the best method for delivery time.

Please note: delivery times quoted are estimates only and time shall not be of the essence of the contract and all risk in the Products shall pass to the Customer or its appointed agent at the time of delivery

Sales Tax

We are required to charge 6% sales tax on all orders shipped to New Jersey addresses. No tax will be charged on orders shipped outside the state of New Jersey. 

Payment Requirements

Payment is required in advance using our secure credit card payment system. BellyButtonsRing Inc accept Visa, MasterCard, Delta, and American Express.

One of the main worries - and rightly so - of any shopper using an online shop is: "Is it safe to send my card details across the internet?". Our e-payment network uses digital signatures and strong encryption to ensure that all sensitive information is protected throughout the payment process.

Digital Signatures - A digital signature is a method of positively identifying the sender of a message sent in digital form. Just like a signature on a written document, it proves that the message is authentic (but unlike a written signature, it cannot be forged by someone else). A valid digital signature also confirms that the message has not been altered in any way on its journey between the sender and receiver.

We use digital signatures throughout the system to ensure that any transaction arriving at a payment gateway has come from a merchant that we can identify, and that any information passed back to the merchant is from BellyButtonsRing.com. Digital signatures are also used for communications within our payment system. In the event that a merchant's digital signature becomes a security risk (for example, if their server is stolen), the appropriate signature will be immediately revoked and will no longer function within our system.

Our payment provider, USA ePay  is the approved Certification Authority (root CA) for these signatures.

Encryption - Encryption is vital when sensitive information is sent across a publicly-accessible network like the internet. Many web browsers, including Internet Explorer and Netscape, can use SSL encryption, which encrypts data with a key of up to 128-bits. This level of encryption is used by our servers and it greatly enhances the integrity of the payment process.

Our servers communicate using an even higher level of encryption: namely, 2048-bit RSA encryption with variable 168-bit session keys.
